Half space problem for Euler equations with damping in 3-D (Q2407132): Difference between revisions

The Euler system for an isentropic gas flow with damping in the three-dimensional half-space is studied. The fundamental solution of the Cauchy problem is considered and then the Green function is determined in the transformed domain after Laplace transform. Sharp pointwise estimates as well as a priori energy estimates for higher order derivatives lead to a proof of nonlinear stability of the equilibrium solution together with the decay rates.
