The authors are interested in a superlinear elliptic problem with changing signs nonlinearity with exponential growth. More precisely, they investigate the existence and the behaviour of global connected branches of positive solutions of the problem \[ -\Delta u=\lambda u+ h(x)\varphi(u) e^u\quad\text{in }\mathbb{R}^2, \] \[ u\geq 0,\;u\to 0\quad\text{as }|x|\to \infty \] with sign-changing \(h(x)\).
