The authors show that the given inequality is true whenever either all Sylow subgroups of the group \(G\) are Abelian or \(G/G'\) is cyclic. Herzog and the authors had shown earlier that \(|G'|>|G|^{\tfrac 13}\) for solvable groups \(G\) satisfying \(Z(G)=\Phi(G)=1\).
