The paper presents analysis of a system of hydrodynamic equations describing nonlinear wave propagation in a model combining very heavy dust particle with negative electric charge, positively charged ions, and electrons. By means of the known reductive perturbation technique, an asymptotic equation for small-amplitude long-wave excitations is derived. The asymptotic equation turns out to be the Korteweg-de Vries equation, which naturally gives rise to solitons. The paper also reports results of some direct numerical simulations of the underlying system.
