    The Riemann zeta-function \(\zeta(s)\) for all \(s\in\mathbb C\) can be represented as a Newton interpolation series, namely, \[ \zeta(s)-\frac1{s-1}= \sum_{n=0}^\infty(-1)^nb_n\binom{s}{n}, \] where \(\binom{s}{n}\) is a binomial coefficient and \[ b_n=n\biggl(1-\gamma-\sum_{j=1}^{n-1} \frac1 j\biggr)-\frac12+ \sum_{k=2}^n\binom{n}{k}(-1)^k\zeta(k). \] The main result of the paper is the following asymptotic formula \[ b_n=\left(\frac{2n}{\pi}\right)^{\frac14} e^{-2\sqrt{\pi n}}\cos\left(2\sqrt{\pi n}-\frac{5\pi}{8}\right)+O(e^{-2\sqrt{\pi n}}n^{-\frac14}). \] This formula is also generalized to Dirichlet \(L\)-functions.
