This note repeats Section 2 of the authors' paper [A matching algorithm for regular bipartite graphs, Discrete Appl. Math. 35, No. 3, 197-203 (1992; Zbl 0752.68061)], together with the closing paragraph that was omitted. It is a tongue-in-check description of a sociological application which should not be described here. Everyone is encouraged to read this nice application directly in the paper under review.
