Motivated by a result of \textit{A. Krieg} [Math. Z. 251, No. 4, 929--942 (2005; Zbl 1132.11025)], concerning the determination of the structure of the graded ring of modular forms of degree two with respect to the Hurwitz integral quaternions, the authors extend a previous result of \textit{E. Freitag} and \textit{F. Hermann} [Adv. Math. 152, No. 2, 203--287 (2000; Zbl 0974.11028)]. They prove that the graded algebra of the Borcherds additive lift of ``some'' lattice, is a weighted polynomial ring generated by six forms of weight two and a form of weight six. From this result follows now as a corollary the result of Krieg. Since they are working only in the orthogonal context their result makes the underlying geometry much more visible.
