Let \(G\) be a group of the shape \(G=FA\), where \(F\) is a proper nontrivial normal subgroup of \(G\) and the order \(p\) of the subgroup \(A\) is a prime. The group \(G\) is said to be of class \(\mathfrak A\), \(\mathfrak B\), \(\mathfrak C\), or \(\mathfrak N\) if, respectively, \(A\) acts on \(F\) fixed-point-freely; every element in \(G\setminus F\) has order \(p\); every pair of elements in \(G\setminus F\) generates a finite subgroup; every element in the coset \(aF\) with nontrivial element \(a\) is conjugate to \(a\). The authors extend some known results about finite groups with a partition to these classes. For example, they prove the following generalization of \textit{O.~H.~Kegel}'s theorem [see Math. Ann. 149, 258-260 (1963; Zbl 0106.25402)]: Theorem 3.1. Suppose that \(G\in{\mathfrak B}\cap{\mathfrak C}\) and \(P\) (respectively, \(Q\)) is the subgroup generated by all \(p\)-elements (by all \(p'\)-elements) of \(F\). Then \(P\cap Q\) lies in the center of \(F\), \(Q\) is a \(p'\)-group, and \([P,Q]=1\).
