Homogenization and penalization of functional first-order PDE (Q2433283): Difference between revisions

The author deals with the asymptotic behavior of viscosity solutions for a functional partial differential equation with a small parameter as the parameter goes to zero. In the studied equation two terms are presented indicating the effects of homogenization and the effects of penalization respectively. The interaction is studied in the asymptotic between the effects of the almost periodic homogenization and penalization. The author obtains a convergence theorem in which the limit equation is identified with some first order partial differential equation. The limit equation varies according to the ranges of a parameter related with the penalization.
