A necessary condition for Weyl-Heisenberg frames (Q816606): Difference between revisions

Let \(G\) be a locally compact abelian group with Haar measure \(\mu\) and \(K\) a uniform lattice in \(G\). Via the Schrödinger representation it is proved how to construct (generalized) Weyl-Heisenberg frames for \(L^2(G)\) based on a compactly supported function \(g\in L^2(G)\) for which \[ 0<A \leq \sum_{k\in K}| g(xk)| ^2\leq B<\infty \] for a.e. \(x\in G\). This extends a classical result for the case \(G=\mathbb R\).
