Let \(\{\phi_j \}^\infty_{j=0}\) be the usual dyadic resolution of unity in \(\mathbb R^n\). Let \(0<p,q<\infty\), \(s\in \mathbb R\) and \(\tau \geq 0\). Let \(Q_{J,M} = 2^{-J} M + 2^{-J} (0,1)^n\), \(J \in \mathbb Z\), \(m\in \mathbb Z^n\). Let \(J^+ = \max(J,0)\). Then \(B^{s,\tau}_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\) collects all \(f\in S'(\mathbb R^n)\) such that \[ \| f \, | B^{s,\tau}_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n) \| = \sup_{J\in \mathbb Z, M\in \mathbb Z^n} 2^{Jn\tau} \Big( \sum_{j\geq J^+} 2^{jsq} \| (\phi_j \hat{f} )^\vee \, | L_p (Q_{J,M})\|^q \Big)^{1/q} \] is finite. Similarly, \(F^{s,\tau}_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\), where \(l_q (L_p)\) is replaced by \(L_p (l_q)\). If \(\tau =0\), then \(B^s_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n) = B^{s,0}_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\) and \(F^s_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n) = F^{s,0}_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\) are the well-known classical spaces. Let \(0<p<\infty\) and \(-n/p \leq r <0\). Then the Morrey space \(L^r_p (\mathbb R^n)\) collects all locally \(p\)-integrable functions such that \[ \| f \, | L^r_p (\mathbb R^n) \| = \sup_{J\in \mathbb Z, M\in \mathbb Z^n} 2^{J(\frac{n}{p} +r)} \| f \, | L_p (Q_{J,M})\| \] is finite (local if \(J\in \mathbb Z\) is replaced by \(J\in \mathbb N_0\)). (Local) Morrey versions of \(A^s_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\) with \(A\in \{B,F \}\) are obtained if one replaces \(L_p\) in the respective definitions by \(L^r_p\) (or its local version). Morrey spaces can be extended to Morrey-Campanato spaces in the usual way. The paper is a comprehensive up-to-date survey dealing with the interpolation theory of Morrey spaces, the spaces \(A^s_{p,q}\), \(A^{s,\tau}_{p,q}\) and the indicated Morrey versions of \(A^s_{p,q}\).
