The authors show that any ruled surface of finite type in the Minkowski space \( E_1^3\) is a minimal surface, a part of a circular cylinder, a part of a hyperbolic cylinder or an isoparametric surface with null rules. Moreover, they describe isoparametric ruled surfaces with null rules. As spacelike and timelike minimal surfaces in \(E_1^3\) have been already classified, the results in this paper give a rather complete description of ruled finite type surfaces .
