In this paper the authors consider the heat transfer in a rigid solid at nanoscale. First, the one-dimensional model is proposed and three boundary conditions are considered: (homogeneous) Robin type, (homogeneous) Dirichlet type and (homogeneous) Neumann type. Existence and uniqueness of solutions are obtained by using the linear semigroup theory. Later, the solutions of the three problems are obtained, and the authors consider the relevance of the phonon-wall interactions.
