The potential flow problem for multiple airfoils of general shape is solved using \textit{D. G. Crowdy}'s method [Eur. J. Mech., B, Fluids 25, No. 4, 459--470 (2006; Zbl 1210.76027); Proc. R. Soc. Lond., Ser. A, Math. Phys. Eng. Sci. 462, No. 2069, 1387--1407 (2006; Zbl 1149.76634)]. The proposed approach is a variant of boundary integral equation method. Thus conformal mappings are totally avoided. The integral equations with generalized Neumann kernel have been derived by first formulating the potential flow problem as the Riemann-Hilbert boundary value problem. The theoretical investigations are illustrated by numerical examples.
