The author proves that every multivalued Ascoli theorem can be directly derived from the corresponding classical result. He also proves equivalent conditions for the even continuity of a set of multifunctions with respect to the lower, resp. upper semi-finite topology and the Vietoris-topology. As a further application he presents an improved sufficient condition for the local compactness of a family of multifunctions.
