Any \(C^*\)-algebra B is the image of a residually finite-dimensional \(C^*\)-algebra A, i.e. A has a separating family of finite-dimensional representations. A satisfies the stable range 1 condition when B does. Any \(C^*\)-group algebra over a group which is a free product of free and finite groups is residually finite-dimensional.
