    An ideal \(I\) on \(P_{\omega_ 1}\lambda\) is presaturated iff whenever \(G\) is generic over \(I^ +\), \(\lambda^ +\) is not collapsed in \(V[G]\). \(\delta\) is a Woodin cardinal iff for all \(A\subseteq V_ \delta\) there are arbitrarily large \(\kappa < \delta\) such that for all \(\alpha < \delta\) there is a \(j: V\to M\) (\(j\) elementary, \(M\) transitive) such that \(\operatorname{crit} (j) = \kappa,\;j(\kappa) > \alpha,\;V_ \alpha\subseteq M\) and \(A\cap V_ \alpha = j(A)\cap V_ \alpha\). The author shows that in the model obtained by collapsing all cardinals less than a Woodin cardinal to a regular uncountable cardinal \(\lambda\), the nonstationary ideal on \(P_{\omega_ 1}\lambda\) is presaturated.
