This paper is concerned with inverse problems when the system of differential equations with initial and boundary values is insufficient for determining uniquely the parameters in the differential equations. The authors present two methods which lead to unique solutions in a certain sense. The first method is based on the linearization of the studied differential equations. A corresponding underdetermined system of linear equations is solved by using a generalized inverse technique. The second method uses the spline technique. Algorithms and numerical results with comments are given.
