    Minimal non-finitely based varieties are called limit varieties. Let V be the semigroup variety defined by the identity \(xyx=xyxz\) and \(W\subset V\) the subvariety defined by the additional system \(x_ 1x_ 2x_ 3x_ 4x_ 3=x_ 1x_ 2x_ 3x^ 3_ 4\), \(x^ 2_ 1...x^ 2_ nx_ 1=x^ 2_ 1...x^ 2_ nx_ 2\), \(n=2,3,...\), of identities. It is shown that W is the only limit subvariety of V.
