Let \(F\) be an algebraically closed field of characteristic \(p\geq 0\) and consider the group \(G=\text{SL}_n(F)\) where \(n\leq 7\). In the paper under review the authors classify the triples \((x,y,xy)\), where \(x,y\in G\), such that \(x^2\), \(y^3\) and \((xy)^7\) are scalar matrices and \(\langle x,y\rangle\) is an irreducible subgroup of \(\text{SL}_n(F)\). In this way the authors can achieve their goal which is to discover the Hurwitz subgroups of \(\text{PGL}_n(F)\), \(n\leq 7\).
