This paper deals with the three-body problem with equal masses and an attractive potential of type \(1/r^2\) via reduction and Riemannian geometry techniques. The complete reduction of this problem has been done by using its finite group of symmetries and the Jacobi-Maupertuis metric. The authors show that the reduction is equivalent to the unfolding of a flow which is topologically conjugate to a geodesic billiard problem equipped with the Jacobi-Maupertuis metric. Finally, numerical experiments are presented and some periodic orbits are shown.
