The author attaches a zeta-function to any \(C^*\)-dynamical system \(X: {\mathbb{R}}\to Aut(A)\), where A is a \(C^*\)-algebra. This generalizes Selberg's zeta-function. It is conjectured that these zeta-functions have an expression as a determinant and that special values of the zeta- functions can be expressed by means of K-groups of \(C^*(X)\). Some examples are given. It should also be possible to define L-functions for X in the sense of the author's earlier paper [ibid. 60, 335-338 (1984; Zbl 0559.12009)].
