Let \(M\) be a compact manifold and \(\mathcal{F}\) be a singular Riemannian foliation of \(M\). Let \(\langle\;,\;\rangle\) be an arbitrary Riemannian metric on \(M\) adapted to \(\mathcal{F}\). The authors prove that in any neighbourhood of a singular leaf there are regular leaves whose mean curvature is not identically 0. The proof is based on the Homothety Lemma from the book of \textit{P. Molino} [Riemannian foliations. Progress in Mathematics, Vol. 73. (Boston-Basel: Birkhäuser). (1988; Zbl 0633.53001)].
