The Ilieff-Sendov conjecture states that if p(z) is a monic polynomial with all its zeros inside the unit circle, then each of the closed unit disks centred at the zeros of p(z) contains a zero of \(p'(z)\). In this paper, the author proves the conjecture for polynomials which have at most four distinct zeros. The conjecture had been proved for polynomials with at most three distinct zeros by \textit{E. B. Saff} and \textit{J. B. Twomey} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 27, 303-308 (1971; Zbl 0218.30002)]. It is also known in a number of other cases which the author enumerates. The paper is very well written; in addition to his main result, the author gives well-motivated proofs of a number of previously known results which he requires as lemmas.
