The authors study the trajectory controllability of a control system governed by the nonlinear fractional differential equation of order \(\alpha \in (1, 2]\) with deviating argument in a Banach space \(X.\) The results are obtained by using the strongly continuous \(\alpha\)-order cosine family of linear operators and Gronwall's inequality. Further, they consider the trajectory controllability of a nonlinear integrodifferential equation. An example is given to illustrate the abstract results.
