The authors discuss the existence of traveling wavefronts for the system \[ \frac{\partial u_i(x,t)}{\partial t}=d_i\Delta u_i(x,t)+f_i(u_t(x)), \quad i= 1,2,\dots,n. \] In [J. Dyn. Differ. Equations 13, No.~3, 651--687 (2001; Zbl 0996.34053)], \textit{J. Wu} and \textit{X. Zou} gave the criteria for the existence of traveling wavefronts by assuming the (exponentially) quasimonotonicity of \(f\). In the present article, the (exponentially) mixed quasimonotonicity of \(f\) is assumed, and the existence of traveling wavefronts is also obtained. As applications, some biological systems with two species and delays such as competition system, cooperation system and prey-predator system are studied.
