The main result concerns Artin L-functions of 2-dimensional dihedral representations; i.e. \(\rho\): \(Gal(L/{\mathbb{Q}})\to GL(2,{\mathbb{C}})\) induced from a (primitive) 1-dimensional abelian character \(\chi\): \(C_ N\to {\mathbb{C}}^{\times}\) of conductor N on some class group \(C_ N\) of an imaginary quadratic field. Theorem 2 says that \(L(1/2,\chi)\) is a sum of values of Eisenstein series for \(SL(2,{\mathbb{Z}})\). Examples are considered as well as connections with Rankin L-functions and the Petersson inner product.
