The asynchronous fast adaptive composite grid method (AFAC) as described in detail by \textit{L. Hart} and the first author [ibid. 12, No.2, 131-144 (1989; reviewed above)] is considered from the point of view of implementation on an Intel iPSC/1 and iPSC/2 for solving Poisson's equation on a two-dimensional unit square. Details of the code and timing results are described.
