The authors consider rank 3 geometries that are almost buildings associated with the five groups \(P\Omega_6^-(3)\), \(G_2(3)\), \(U_6(2)\), \(\Omega_8^+(2)\) and \(Suz\) and prescribed diagrams. They investigate the chamber graphs of these geometries and, in the spirit of second author's earlier work, for example, [LMS J. Comput. Math. 12, 120--143 (2009; Zbl 1230.51010)] for the Mathieu group \(M_{24}\), computationally determine (using Magma) their disc structures and collapsed adjacency graphs for the last disc of a fixed chamber. For some of the geometries, geodesic closures, apartments and maximally opposite sets are also worked out. Moreover, bounds for the diameter of the chamber graph associated with the Lyons sporadic simple group are obtained. The authors note that their results, which provide a wealth of data for further investigations, show a surprising difference to chamber graphs of buildings and of some of the geometries that are almost buildings investigated previously.
