The authors propose a new approach to study the dynamics of reaction-diffusion equations (including the stochastic case with additive noise) on bounded domains \(Q\) of arbitrary space dimension \(N\geq 3\). Assuming that the nonlinearity satisfies the dissipativity condition with polynomial growth of arbitrary order \(p \geq 2\), they establish the higher-order integrability of the difference of the solutions together with some decay, instead of using the usual estimates on the higher regularity and higher-order integrability of solutions. Then, they show that the attraction in the usual \((L^2(Q);L^2(Q))\) \(\mathcal D\)-pullback random attractor indeed holds in the \(L^q\) norm for each \(q\in [2,\infty)\). Moreover, the solutions of the equation are continuous with respect to initial data in the \(H^1_0(Q)\) norm. Finally, they obtain the existence of a pullback random attractor in \(H^1_0(Q)\) as an application of the continuity property. Some of the estimates obtained in this paper are new even in the corresponding deterministic cases.
