Unitary bordism of classifying spaces of quaternion groups (Q1175083): Difference between revisions

Let \(Q\) be the generalized quarternion group of order \(2^ k\) with classifying space \(BQ\). The author names a set of \(MU_ *\)-generators for \(MU_ *(BQ)\), the complex bordism of \(BQ\), and gives the linear relations among them. The reader's attention is drawn to the work of \textit{A. Bahri}, \textit{M. Bendersky, D. M. Davis} and \textit{P. B. Gilkey} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 316, No. 2, 673-687 (1989; Zbl 0687.55007)]. They show that the additive structure of \(MU_ *(BQ)\) is completely determined by that of the conceptually simpler \(bu_ *(BQ)\), \(BQ\)'s complex \(K\)- theoretic homology.
