The author considers the Riemann problem for the system of conservation laws from the point of view of existence of distributional solutions. These are \(\delta\) and \(\delta^\prime\) shock solutions, i.e. the solutions that include Dirac measures and their derivatives. The applied approach is the vanishing viscosity method: adding a viscosity term with the second derivative multiplied by the small parameter and considering the weak limit as the parameter tends to zero.
