Ulrich bundles are ACM bundles, that is vector bundles without intermediate cohomology, whose corresponding module has the maximal number of generators. Ulrich bundles have many good properties, hence their study is of particular interest. In [\textit{D. Eisenbud} and \textit{F.-O. Schreyer}, J. Am. Math. Soc. 16, No. 3, 537--575, appendix 576--579 (2003; Zbl 1069.14019)] the authors proposed two problems. The first question is about the existence of an Ulrich bundle on a given projective variety \(X\). The second problem is to find the minimal rank of an Ulrich bundle on \(X\). The paper under review answers to both these questions when \(X\) is a Grassmannian \(\mathrm{Gr}(k,n)\) of \(k\)-planes on \(\mathbb{P}^n=\mathbb{P}(V)\). Moreover the authors provide an explicit classification of all irreducible \(\mathrm{GL(V)}\)-invariant Ulrich bundles on \(\mathrm{Gr}(k,n)\).
