Proofs are given for results on Chevalley groups over commutative rings [announced in J. Math. Sci., New York 209, No. 4, 645-656 (2015; Zbl 1331.20059); translation from Zap. Nauchn. Semin. POMI 423, 244-263 (2014)] including bounds on lengths for products of commutators. To this end the author enlarges the elementary group, constructs a generic element for the extended elementary group, and uses localization in the universal ring.
