The Cameron-Liebler line class in \(PG(3,q)\) is a set of lines which intersect every spread of \(PG(3,q)\) in the same number \(x\) of lines (\(x\) is called its parameter). The main result of the paper is a nonexistence theorem for Cameron-Liebler line classes of parameter \(x\) in \(PG(3,q)\) if \(2< x\leq\sqrt q\).
