In this elegant paper the author shows how the Cartan notion of spinors may be reformulated in terms of complex two and four-component projective spinors. This is done by using the classical theorems of Enneper- Weierstrass (for ordinary 3-dimensional space-time) on minimal surfaces generated by null curves. It is suggested that this close relationship with (projective) null-geometry may be of significance in string theory.
