In this work, the authors studied the problem of minimization in incompressible nonlinear elasticity theory. For this purpose, in section 2 they defined the fairly rough class of deformations they use and introduced the potential energy functional appropriate to mixed displacement-dead load traction problems in elastostatics. In section 3, they began their analysis of the general minimization problem by setting up the first and second variation conditions for any minimizer of the potential energy. They established Legendre-Hadamard inequality, which applies to solenoidal vector fields, for minimizers in incompressible theory. Finally, in section 3, the authors briefly discuss the Jacobi condition for incompressible theory. Section 4 is devoted to a derivation of a Weierstrass condition for incompressible theory. Their analysis does not apply to the minimization problems for which all around displacement data are prescribed. Finally, in section 5 they collect a few elementary results that are special for homogeneous minimizers in homogeneous bodies. This paper is well written and might be very helpful for those researchers working on the minimization problems in elastic bodies.
