Consider the infinite system of Nagumo type nonlinear differential equations \[ \dot u_ n=f(u_{n-1},u_ n,u_{n+1}),\;n\in Z, \tag{*} \] where \(f\in c'\), \(D_ 1f>0\), \(D_ 3f>0\) and \(f(0,0,0)=0=f(1,1,1)\). The authors show the existence of wave fronts, that is, solutions of the form \(u_ n(t)=U(n+ct)\), where \(c\in\mathbb{R}\), \(U(-\infty)=0\), \(U(+\infty)=1\), and \(U\) is strictly increasing for the equation \((*)\), when \(f\) satisfies the condition: there exists \(a\), \(0<a<1\), such that \(f(x,x,x)<0\) for \(0<x<a\), \(f(x,x,x)>0\) for \(a<x<1\) and \(\sum^ 3_{i=1}D_ if(a,a,a)>0\).
