The paper deals with the problem of the representation for the frames of reference in mechanics. The author defines on a space-time manifold \(M\) a set of compatible affine connections \({\mathcal C}\) and a set of frames \({\mathcal F}\). The sets \({\mathcal C}\) and \({\mathcal F}\) are classified by certain equivalence relations in classes of connections with zero relative spin and of frames with zero relative spin, respectively with zero relative acceleration. The author establishes a natural correspondence between \({\mathcal F}\) and \({\mathcal C}\) and studies the behaviour of this correspondence on the classes defined above.
