In this notice a scheme is described giving a method of inversion of integral transforms, which are interpreted as multiplications in some (``convolution'') algebra. The inversion problem is reduced to the characterization of the group of units in this algebra. The inversion formula for the transforms is given and also for some particular cases is made concrete by examples from functional analysis.
