Here for all \(n\geq 3\) the author constructs an \(n\)-fimensional affine toric variety \(V \subset K^{2n}\), which is an almost set-theoretic complete intersection, i.e. which is set-theoretically defined by \(n+1\) equations. She constructs \(V\) giving a monomial parametrization of \(V\), and then shows that \(V\) is cut out by \(n+1\) binomial equations.
