The authors study a new cubature algorithm which may be used for integration over two-dimensional regions of great generality, including finite regions with variable boundaries and infinite and semi-infinite regions. This algorithm (\(d2lri\)) is applicable to a wide variety of types and appears to be more effective than adaptive methods in many cases involving singularities along the boundary of the region of integration. \(d2lri\) is very efficient for many quite difficult integrals and when high accuracies are required. Numerical examples are given.
