This paper deals with the classification of symplectic linear quotient singularities. Let us recall that this classification is almost complete, but there is an infinite series of groups for which the problem is still open. In this work, the authors study the remaining infinite series and reduce the problem to finitely many open cases. It is proved that these cases do not admit a symplectic resolution. The main theorem of the paper uses results of Verbitsky.
