The author obtains a quadrature rule for estimating integrals of functions with poles near the arc of integration using the sinc function approach. Special attention is given to integration over the intervals (- \(\infty,\infty)\), (0,\(\infty)\) and (-1,1). It is also shown that the modified sinc quadrature has the same rate of convergence as the ordinary sinc quadrature rule.
