The Jellium is a nickname of a model of Newtonian point particles (\(m>0\), \(e\neq 0\), body number \(N\gg 1\)) moving frictionless inside a uniformly charged overall neutralizing solid that generates a harmonic trap. The Riesz Jellium, being one of the representants of these materials studied here is a prototype of \textit{H. Spohn}'s many-body systems [Large scale dynamics of interacting particles. Berlin etc.: Springer-Verlag (1991; Zbl 0742.76002)] and this paper is dedicated to him on his 65th birthday. The kinetic theory of this Riesz Jellium is discussed here in view of different cases of the pair interaction potential which is a harmonic one plus a term \({1\over s}(r^{-s}- 1)\) (where \(s>-2\)). These cases are the following ones: gas (\(s>D\)); plasma (\(-2< s< D- 1\)); transition regime(\(D- 1\geq s\leq D\)). An asymptotic kinetic equation for the plasma regime is obtained. The Vlasov limit theorems for the Riesz Jellium are given with proofs. The Virial theorems are rigorously proven for the Riesz Jellium.
