With the Goerisch method it is possible to obtain lower and upper bounds for all isolated eigenvalues of finite multiplicity including interior eigenvalues. In the present paper approximations to the corresponding eigenelements are derived. In addition, general convergence results for eigenvalue and eigenelement approximations obtained by this method are given. The precise formulation of the results is too involved to be stated here.
