Let \(X\) be a complex projective minimal threefold of general type with \(\mathbb Q\)-factorial terminal singularities. In the paper under review, the author shows that if \(\chi (\mathcal O _X)=1\), then \(K_X^3 \geq 1/420\). It should be noted that this inequality is sharp and that it was independently discovered by \textit{J. A. Chen} and \textit{M. Chen} [``Explicit birational geometry of threefolds of general type'', preprint, \url{arXiv:0706.2987}].
