Given a ring \(R\) and a positive integer \(n\), an affine transformation of \(R^n\) is a transformation of the form \(x\mapsto Ax+u\), where \(A\) is an \(n\times n\) matrix with coefficients in \(R\) and \(u\) is an \(n\times 1\) matrix with coefficients in \(R\). All affine transformations of \(R^n\) form a monoid with respect to composition, denoted by \(\text{Gaff}_n(R)\). The paper under review studies some basic properties, in particular, Green's relations, Schützenberger groups and principal factors, for the monoid \(\text{Gaff}_n(R)\) in the case when \(R\) is a finite commutative ring whose ideals form a chain under inclusion.
