The authors study applications of radial basis functions where the practical problem consists of structural analysis (linear stability, free vibration and others). For this, a variety of radial basis functions are applied with typical methods such as collocations, Kansa's method, Hermite interpolation and others. With these methods, the relevant differential equations are solved numerically and the results discussed. Both linear and nonlinear, one-dimensional and two-dimensional problems are studied in this paper.
