Each finite embedding problem of fields can be broken up into two problems, first a Frattini embedding problem and then a split embedding problem. The main result of this paper is an embedding theorem for Frattini embedding problems, which contains previous results of Feit and of Völklein as special cases. As applications a number of non-simple finite groups are realized as Galois groups of regular extensions of \(\mathbb{Q}(t)\).
